The Haberdasher approaches Wife of Bath to stab her, and ends up rolling a 19. He deals 3 damage. The Doctor does the same and rolls the same, dealing 4 damage and sending her unconscious. The Carpenter follows suit and finishes her off. As the Manciple kills the Friar with a neat stab in the neck, the Dyer, the Carpet Maker, and the Weaver all surround the Franklin. They roll 12, 16, and a natural 20 followed by a modified 20: all hits, the second one dealing double damage. Suffering a total of 9 damage from all three attacks, the Franklin falls unconscious.

The Nun and the Sergeant of Law run to the North end of the room in vain.
